Kotaku 'Shop Contest_ Mine Rescue Winners

The rescue of 33 miners trapped underground in Chile for more than two months captivated the world. It also provided grist 
for our latest ‘Shop Contest. Wrackune (16) and [[link]] Kobun (11) were both inspired by E.T., Wrackune placing the infamously landfilled game at the 
bottom of the shaft with the miners, Kobun putting the miners in one of the game’s stupid pits. Cynical1 (5) and Futhark (9) were both feeling kind of punchy. Jetpack_McQuack (10) executed the “in another castle” meme the best. Ransommikelikescake (13) developed the best victory pose, by the power of Greyskull. Donutt007 (8) and Super Meaty (14) were the best [[link]] of 
the silly entries, but be sure to read the chatlog in zughammer’s (20). My winner? I thought DashMoney (6) was a really strong contender with a Dig Dug take no one else thought up. But BDARKO’s (1) newspaper page [[link]] was very well done and the most visually striking. He cops top honors. Take a bow, everyone. We’ll see you here tomorrow.
